NPC-piloted Annihilator Stealth crashes during getaway in GTA Online

Viewed 5

Severity: Major (could fail an otherwise successful, lengthy multi-stage heist run right at the final step)

Description:
In the Kortz Center Heist's finale, players could select the Annihilator Stealth, piloted by the NPC character Pernell Moss, as their getaway helicopter. After picking up the crew from the rooftop extraction point, the helicopter would fail to maintain hover, skip its scripted rappelling sequence, and crash — failing the run immediately after the hard part of the heist was already done. Multiple independent reports described the same failure pattern with no apparent player-caused trigger.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Complete Kortz Center Heist preps, selecting the Annihilator Stealth (piloted by Pernell Moss) as the NPC getaway vehicle.
  2. Run the finale through to the rooftop extraction point.
  3. Wait for the NPC helicopter to arrive and pick up the crew.
  4. Observe it fail to hold hover, skip the rappel sequence, and crash before the escape completes.
